Among vineyards, forest and olive groves, Casa Sola<\/strong> is located in the heart of Chianti Classico<\/strong> area where the scenery is suggestive and uncontaminated as it was ages ago. The nearest town of Barberino V.E. is just 30km away from Florence and Siena.<\/p>\n

Casa Sola possesses an ancient vocation for agriculture. In particular, proof can be found in the ancient and precious photographs which were discovered in the company archives.<\/p>\n

Owners of Casa Sola for three generations, the Gambaro family<\/strong> manages the company since 1960.<\/p>\n

They transfer their passion and respect for this marvellous land into the wine and oil<\/strong> which they produce. Driven \u2013 together with his wife Claudia \u2013 by the desire to share the beauty of the area as well as the excellence of wine<\/strong>, Giuseppe Gambaro used his real estate knowledge to restore the colonial company homes and gave life to a magnificent agriturismo (vacation farm-holiday homes).<\/p>\n

It is the people who work here with their enthusiasm, their passion and their competence<\/strong> that have allowed Casa Sola to reach important results. A team capable of believing and achieving the objectives born from the \u201cdream\u201d of Giuseppe Gambaro. And today it continues with their children Matteo and Anna. The growth of Casa Sola is a testament to the energy and the commitment of those who every day take care of this estate.<\/p>\n

The 30 hectares of vineyards possess an ancient aptitude for producing wine of quality<\/strong>. At 330 metres above sea level, our vineyards grow on very permeable soil, rich in limestone and minerals. An excellent soil exposition and favourable microclimate<\/strong> help to create Casa Sola\u2019s unmistakeable character. Other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Sirah<\/strong> make a great addition next to the traditional Chianti<\/strong> vines.<\/p>\n

The Casa Sola wine cellar undergoes continuous innovation<\/strong> in order to guarantee an increasing quality oriented production.
\nThe use of different vats ( in capacity as well as material) consents a better vinification for the grapes consenting the winemakers to create a more diversified selection.<\/strong>\u00a0In general, it also gives them the possibility to give a specific response to each grape selection allowing it to go through the proper work process.
\nThe temperature controls<\/strong> both in the fermentation process as well as during the refinement, represents a fundamental factor in obtaining a high quality production. It is for this reason that at Casa Sola even the finished products are stored in a large climate controlled
